The Wythe County Board of Supervisors is accepting applications for a full-time Water Operator/Maintenance position for the Wythe County Water & Wastewater Department.

Job functions include performing routine distribution operation, maintenance, emergency repairs, meter reading, improvements to water & sewer systems and other duties as directed. Must be self-motivated and have a team player attitude.

High school diploma required. Continuing education credits in the Water/Wastewater field and/or technical training a plus. Must hold or be committed to obtaining a Class V water license within 12 months of hire. Must have a valid motor vehicles operator’s license. Commercial Drivers licenses (CDL) required or be able to obtain within six months of hire date.
