PUBLIC NOTICE

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

The County of Wythe seeks bids from authorized and qualified service vendors to provide testing and service to the counties fire and rescue equipment.

Proposals must be received no later than 2 p.m. on Friday February 15, 2019 at the County Administration Building, 340 South Sixth Street, Wytheville, Virginia 24382 to the Attention of Curtis Crawford. The envelope must be clearly marked “F&R Test”. Proposals received after that time, postmarks notwithstanding, shall be rejected. As soon as feasible, negotiations will begin with the vendor deemed to be fully qualified and best suited among those submitting proposals. A pre-bid conference shall be held on Monday, January 7, 2019 at 2 p.m. in the Emergency Operations Center in the basement of 290 South Sixth Street, Wytheville, Virginia.

Vendors will be providing proposals for testing to all the nine (9) county fire and rescue departments for Pumps, Ladders, Hoses, SCBAs, Fit Test, Rescue Equipment, as well as service when needed.
